1968. One Year, Two Departures And The Future Begins.

1968. Two figures who were at the RFH in 1955 - Melvin Ramsay and Helen Dimsdale - leave. Ramsay retires, Dimsdale quits because of ill health. This is also around the time that Beard and McEvedy are given permission to access records for their 'Reconsideration' paper.

Dimsdale allegedly told Ramsay that he’d regret the decision to slow them access. Ramsay later admitted that it was the wrong decision.

Two points:

1) A "reorganisation of the Neurology Department" is mentioned. This happened the following year and Peter Kynaston ('P.K.') Thomas was brought in. Thomas was a sceptic of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, as was noted in Ramsay's letters and the BBC Horizon documentary almost twenty years to the day after these minutes.

2) Wikipedia has Dimsdale's resignation as 1967. According to the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Governors, the official date was 1st June 1968. 

Aside from the change in personnel, 1968 saw the beginning of the end for the Grays Inn Road RFH building - work started on the new RFH building in Hampstead.
