Long Covid, Mitochondria And The (Forgotten) History Of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis.
A few days ago some discussion was generated in the Long Covid and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis online communities after an article appeared in The Guardian.
Headlined "Long Covid causes changes in body that make exercise debilitating – study", the research and article was welcomed by many. However, it did attract some criticism due to the non-existence of any reference to Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. Some (including the @RFH1955 account on Twitter/X) made the point that mitochondrial abnormalities in M.E. had been suspected - and subsequently researched - decades earlier.
